...And I'm a Mormon

I love this video.

I'm a fan of The Killers and I guess I'd assumed Brandon Flowers (the lead singer) had distanced himself from the church like other celebrities with LDS ties.

Can I pay you in biscuits?

Ever wonder what it is like to be a hairstylist for about 10 hours a day, 5 days a week?

Very similar to this:

I get stressed out just watching this. It is painful.
I deal with this almost every single day.

I do not get paid enough to deal with the public.

now my consolation is in the stardust of a song

Nature or nurture?

I see so many of my quirks echoed in my siblings. I know I've come with my own idiosyncrasies but there are those things that have to have been instilled in me by my parents and my family.

I tear up during beautiful music.
I can't help it.
(I know some, if not all, of my siblings do too.)

Quiet slow pieces or big showstoppers, it doesn't matter. I get choked up.
There are a few pieces that I can listen to all day, this being one of them:

Theme from Sabrina, composed by John Williams  (I love when the full orchestra joins the piano after 2:05.)

(...and don't get me started on the Yentl soundtrack. Sheesh.)

If you're having a good time

Alex reads the lyrics to Spice Girls "Spice Up Your Life" with an Irish accent. And I attempt to stifle giggles.

whoa oh oh

I can't really say I miss being at school until 10 p.m. almost every night, nor leaving my house at 7:15 so I could get to school on time and not get kicked out for tardiness...

But sometimes I miss being at school for my awesome, awesome instructors:

My former instructors: Olivia, Chris, Mark, and Miss Willie (and an instructor I don't know) rocking out their best Beyonce.

Dang. I had some complete cracksmokers for instructors, but I absolutely enjoy these guys.

Josh does the classics

I've loved Josh Groban since 2002, so its no surprise that I'd love his performance, but holy crap, this was funny:

My favorite part is when he does the COPS theme. Oh my.

Am I just easily amused or is this just hilarious?

This has been stuck in my head ever since Luke and I rewound it about nineteen times one day. Luke now calls me a muttonhead.

I'm on a high

Every night I was in Europe in 2005 I would pop in my earbuds and start the Duncan Sheik mix on my iPod to lull me to sleep. He has a few pop-ish songs, but a lot are soft with beautiful orchestrations. I really like his music, and, ya know, the man is gorgeous.

One of his cheesier poppier songs, but I love this Duncan Sheik nonetheless:

One of my goals is to make everyone I know a Duncan Sheik fan, hahaha.

caution: runs with scissors

Remember how I was bored that one night at 3 a.m. and I suddenly decided I really needed more bangs than I had? So I threw on some clothes, ran downstairs, grabbed my razor out of George, ran back upstairs, and CHOPPED MY HAIR UP?! All while my cheeks (and brain cells) were still puffy from my wisdom teeth surgery? I do!

Yeah, well--tonight I finally got rid of the trouble I caused with that. Hahaha. Jamie cut my hair back into long layers and thoroughly mocked the hole I accidentally cut into my hairline on the left side. Oops. "Next time you are up in the middle of the night and think you should cut your hair...go to sleep." -Jamie

3 a.m. boredom

I promised Ryan I'd upload this random clip of my 3 a.m. boredom. I don't like it because the swelling in my jaw hadn't quite gone down yet, I am constantly making faces, and do I ever stop touching my hair?!
But he is letting me upload a clip of him prancing around a parking garage. So I guess that's fair.

Susannah cut her hair

think of it as thrift, as a gift, if you get my drift

I know its R-rated and bloody, but that doesn't lessen my love of the music of Sweeney Todd. "Little Priest" has been stuck in my head all morning. Morbid and catchy ;)

Funniest. Thing. Ever.

I thought I was pretty coherent. However, after being under general anesthesia for about an hour, I was completly LOOPY! As well as being hugely puffy, having a mouth full of gauze, and having indications of the laughing gas mask and the thing to hold my mouth open. Yipee Skipee!

"I've been a little loopy."
"I just got out of surgery."
"Yay...*kiss*"

(My dad was on the phone with my mom.)

He's just your run-of-the-mill dragon, you know.

(I have had Stan Freberg's "St George and the Dragonet" stuck in my head for days, how appropriate.)

Yesterday ZackyZack invited me to go to a Pyrotechnic Party, haha. Basically his brother and friends were lighting things, and themselves, on fire.

My love of being in a group of people I don't know is right up there with root canals. But it went OK. Zacky introduced me to people as: "This is My Susie Q, also known as Susannah The Coolest Chica Evah." I responded, "Well, thats my full title, it's on my card."
Then Zack brought some short guy over to introduce to me, then told us we needed to "fall deeply deeply in love and have lots of babies." Gee, Zack is good with that whole not being awkward thing.

True to form Ryan called while I was with Zack (hahahahahaaahahaa) so he came over, too.

It was terrible. He breathed fire on me! He burned me already!

Three-way fire breathing

It was interesting. Pretty dang funny, actually. Right up until they lit the huge box of fireworks...real shoot-into-the-sky blooming fireworks. It sounded like a gun being shot and the neighbors lights all turned on...Oops. I pretty much decided to leave right about then.

So Zacky Zack, Ryan, and I went in the basement and watched Ringu (the Japanese version of The Ring); where Zack and his brother took great delight in freaking me right the heck out.

And you get a free smelly [air freshener]

What better way to spend a Tuesday evening than at the carwash?

Ryan says the best part is what you can't see...apparently at the end when the water rushed down I lurched forward and covered my hair, hahaha.

No really, I laugh this much. On a constant basis.

The lights

Driving through the lights:

*music*
Susannah: "Is it freaking out because I don't have my seat belt on again? Relax."
Honeyman: "Jesus doesn't match, but thats OK."
Susannah: "Haha, yeah, Jesus looks a little odd on that one. Hehe, and next to Jesus we have the extreme skiier! Yes, yes, hehe."

I am your Gummybear (Ich bin dein Gummibär)

Chalk another one up to 'easily amused'...

Oddly enough, the gummybear and I have a similar dance style. That little forward shuffle he does is the very same one I do.
It is WAY funnier in German, but there is an English version floating about. This is going to be stuck in my head all night.
