"When you don't update [for days] I want to send Gil [Grissom] to your house." -Elizabeth

Friday was a lot of fun. In the morning I went on a date with Luke, by which I mean I went out to breakfast with my sister and her 2-year-old son, haha.
We stopped in Bed Bath & Beyond, where I had to get a gift for a wedding I'm going to this weekend. (This acquaintance registered at BB&B and Tiffany & Co.! Sweet honk, I want to register at Tiffany & Co.!) She registered for 12 settings of a $80+ couture place setting (for those playing along at home: that is $960+ before tax [7.75%]) suffice it to say I got her the $12 breakfast tray.

Luke and I found a GIGANTIC universal remote that I thought would be hysterical to get for my mom. So we took pictures.

Elizabeth bought a Nintendo Wii on Friday afternoon. WOOHOO! She said "Let's not tell Daddy and surprise him." Which means she told him on the phone in the parking lot; typical, hahaha.

Then Elizabeth, Emma Kate, and I laid on Liz's squishy couch and watched The Queen (which is a great movie with a GORGEOUS score) until I had to leave for work.

Two crappy things about Friday were the temperature and the traffic. 20 MPH on the freeway in 120 degree heat. Eek.
Susannah "Everytime I go to Wal-Mart at night I get hit on repeatedly, haha."
Elizabeth "Why don't you turn these into dates? Because you don't speak Spanish?"
Susannah: "HAHAHAHAHA!"
...
Susannah: "And while he was scanning my things, he picked up the lipgloss and eyeliner and looked at them and then at me and said, 'Makeup? You know, you don't need any makeup ...though I bet a lot of men have already told you that.' Hahaha. Oh my!"
Elizabeth: "How are you going to find someone to marry when you treat guys like this?"
Susannah: "Haha, I guess it's about persistence." ;)
Elizabeth: "You want someone who stalks you like you stalk them!"
Susannah: "Hahahaha!"

At breakfast

Ginormous remote for Grandma

120 degrees at 3:44 pm, on the way to work

102 degrees at 10:00 pm, on the way home from work

My hair is FREAKING AWESOME right now, and yet it is 2:30 a.m. and I have nowhere to go. So instead I am watching Coneheads and reveling in my hair.
No picture can correctly display how much I love what I did to my hair today. So I tried to video it. It still doesn't portray the actual awesomeness that is my hair. My bangs are HUGE, yet they sweep up and wave over--like a throwback to Old Hollywood. And I love any hairdo that actually shows my magenta hair.

I am SO GLAD I'm not the only one who has ever been like, "MY HAIR IS SO AWESOME I MUST VIDEOTAPE IT."

Also, the gigantic universal remote made me laugh. Really, that's what I need to get my pops for his birthday next month.
