But because I am a bit random and spontaneous I decided to drive up to Mesquite on Wednesday night at 11 p.m. I made the hour and a half drive in... um... a bit less than that ;)
After chatting with Deborah a bit I crashed on her couch while watching Sense and Sensibility (though it was difficult to choose between that or Thomas the Tank Engine.)
I woke up to the sound of my darling nephew, Hryum, saying "Susie is here."
I fell back to sleep on the couch a little while later for nearly two hours. ...Meridith, it's not a nap if you're going back to sleep ;)
Near 11 a.m. we packed up Deborah's car and headed back down to Las Vegas.
After spending the day with Deborah, Elizabeth, and the kids I slept on Elizabeth's couch and woke up to the sound of my darling nephew, Luke, saying "Auntie Susie, hi! Wake up, Auntie!"
Then we packed up the cars and headed back up to Mesquite. Elizabeth and her family were going up to St. George, but Deborah was watching Luke.
After playing with the three boys (Luke, Hyrum, and Ezra) all night they fell asleep around 8:00, then my Uncle Bill, Aunt Jill, and two cousins came over. They were passing through town on their way to Utah.
Then I fell asleep on Deborah's couch. I woke up to the sound of a Thomas The Tank Engine movie, haha.
Then we packed up the car and headed up to St George, where we met my parents, Elizabeth and her family, and Deb's hubby Aaron.
After a day of swimming and the largest bowls of ice cream I've ever seen, I decided I didn't want to stay the night in St George (another couch) and instead drove back down to Mesquite with Deborah, Aaron, Hyrum, Ezra, and Luke.
Then I drove back down to Vegas.
A much better weekend than if I'd cleaned and slept.
Auntie Susie with Ezra, Emma Kate, and Caroline
Hanging out with Luke
