"Let's communicate our butts off and then charge them 3 points!" -Irma

I left the office at 10:25 p.m. yesterday. Definitely the longest day at work in the history of ever. I spent all afternoon creating a flyer describing our team. Jayar gave me the one he'd created a few months ago and told me to make it "flowery" uh...Ok.
I played with Microsoft Office Publisher, my first time. I prefer other applications, but it worked for what I was doing. It took me forever, because I become a perfectionist when it comes to things like that. I thought it looked pretty freaking cool when I was finished. I showed it to a rep who was talking to Irma, and she said it looked good. Jayar said, "I like it." which means "the things I would change aren't important enough/we don't have enough time to change it." I also burned and labeled 100 CDs, which took me absolutely all day.

If there is one skill I have acquired in my life it is collating. After eleven years of practice, I have perfected my collating system. From 9:05-10:25 last night I was collating packets with Mark for a seminar today. I didn't realize how low the counter was I was working on until my entire back suddenly seized up. Haha. Mark, in his thick British accent, asked "Your back is hurting you, right?" I nodded and tried to bend and twist the pain away. I kicked off my heels and tried to finish up quickly. After a lot of pain and shallow breathing I finally finished my last packet.

I share one of my quirks with quite a few of my siblings--we love office supplies. Love them. Drop me off at Staples, I could stay all day.

I ran out of CD labels around 6:30 p.m., so I locked up the office and made my way down to Office Max.
Aisle after aisle of office supply-y goodness!!! I picked out the CD labels I'd gone for, and perused the other objects. I nearly bought a purple stapler...because it was just that cool. Instead I grabbed a box of purple Bic pens. I stared at the desk things--business card holder, pencil holder, CD stand--and got thisclose to getting some cool black metal ones, but alas. Instead I bought photo corners for my scrapbook. I drooled over the 30+ packs of Sharpies, but our relationship ended there. I just couldn't rationalize $20 in my budget for permanant markers...especially when I have about ten of them in my drawer already.

I grabbed a box of staples for the office and a box of black "clicky" pens for Jayar because last week he yelled, "I hate these pens! Just so everyone knows, I hate these pens. I hate the pens with two pieces. I need clicky pens." Hahahahaha.

I managed to pull myself away from the magnents on clearance, but just barely. (IN PURPLE!) And I quickly ran back to the office for my long night of work.

Ha! I love when I make people laugh. I have never seen Jayar laugh so hard in my life.
We managed to get back a client who was flaky a few months ago, and Irma said something excitedly in Spanish. I, not wanting to be left out of yet another conversation, yelled something in my made up Spanish. It came out, "Meso la queso, too!" and Jayar was mouth-wide-open in laughter.
