Friday night-
We went to WalMart to buy random stuff for the drive down. I got Pringles, Twizzlers, Dt Cola, and Popcorn. Honeyman mocked me relentlessly about my choices.
Saturday-
I woke up at 7:00 a.m. to the sound of Ryan knocking on my apartment door. Because I didn't answer he walked around to my window and was calling my name until I finally let him in. I piled all of my stuff into bags and we loaded them in the car.
We were on our way by 7:28.
After five and a half hours of singing along to Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody in a very Wayne's World-esque fashion and a whole ton of Cher we got into Las Vegas. The Money was staying at Excalibur so we went over there. We wandered around Excalibur and Luxor watching The Money and his Aunt Karen play slots for about an hour. They had to catch a flight at 4:00, so we left. We got to Elizabeth and Jayar's at about 3:15. Liz had a piano lesson right then so the babysitter, Caitlin sp?, came over. When Liz got back we went with her and Jayar to Outback Steakhouse. I got a steak for the first time ever. After dinner Jayar and Liz went out to a movie and Honeyman and I headed toward the Strip.
We went to see SideDish down at Neonopolois at Fremont Street Experience. While waiting for them to go onstage we wandered into a random store where I bought two big gaudy vintage-y rings. I got a caricature done of me while down there, also. I'll take a picture of it and upload it on here sometime this week.
After that we decided to drive up the Strip, dumb choice. It took us about two hours to drive up the one freakin' street. Finally we parked at the Bellagio and decided to wander.
I was the butt of fashion's cruel joke - I was wearing heels. Oooouuuuuuch! Words of Wisom from Susannah: Do not wear heels when you plan on walking the Vegas Strip. After two hours of barefooted limping we stopped at the most pimped out Walgreens ever and bought a pair of flipflops.
This was our random walking-around-Vegas-at-2a.m. itinerary:
Bellagio
Ballys
Paris
Aladdin
Monte Carlo ?
New York, New York
That entire freakin' block. Oh my heck, that is a lot of walking. It was a lot of fun, though.
