family history

Today's Sunday School lesson was on family history...

And now it's quarter to 5 a.m. and I have to be up in 2 hours, but I've spent all night trying to find stories about my ancestors.

My Great-Great-Great-Great-Great Grandmother is Susannah Young, older sister of Brigham Young (of Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.)

A few minutes ago I found this quote and I like it:

Brigham Young said of his sister, Susannah, that “she had suffered much, had been through many hardships and trials and with all this had stayed faithful and true to her family and church. She has left her descendants a great legacy, a heritage of faith, courage and endurance in adversity. We are indebted to her for that and for her life. She was truly a pioneer.”

I really appreciate your interest and willingness to share what you are discovering, Susannah. Thanks so much. It is vitally interesting to me.
