"What I should have said was nothing. What I did say was 'You'd be surprised.'"

I tried to get my ToDo list done before I left, but in reality it was WAY too much. I got two tasks done and begged Julie to finish another one for me while I was gone. I left the office at 12:15.

I filled up in Summerlin, Las Vegas, NV for $2.49/gallon and was headed out to the freeway by 12:30. I switched from the radio to my iPod halfway between Vegas and Mesquite. The first playlist I had on was "Showtunes", which is a road-trip tradition regardless of whether I'm with my sisters or alone.

I hit the Arizona border at about 1:55, and switched my clocks over to Mountain Standard Time. I usually stop in Cedar City, UT every time I do this drive. This time as I saw the exit signs appearing I decided I didn't want to. Probably because I am off of carbonation now. (Again. But this time it is for me, so I am able to do it easier.) I have my three 64 oz mugs with me, but they stayed empty the whole drive. How sad.

I switched my iPod to Janet Evanovich's "Eleven On Top"; books on tape (mp3, whatever) make the drive go faster for me.

I exited in Beaver, UT to swing by the Burger King--got a Whopper Jr. and a water (370 calories, go fight win.) Then quickly jumped back on the freeway. I was pretty much making a 6+ hour drive in about 5 hours.

I got flipped off near Browse, UT by two guys in a white car. Apparently they felt I was competing with them somehow because we alternated positions in the lanes frequently.

I hit traffic near Nephi, UT because of construction. Dang it. I was getting really low on gas so I was kinda nervous; all the gas stations I saw had their exits blocked because of the construction.

I made it until the Santaquin/Payson area before I pulled off and filled up for $2.79/gallon. I was really surprised that the gas in Utah was more expensive than Las Vegas, usually it is the other way around.

I hit traffic again in Provo/Orem. Ugh. People can't merge and it drives me nuts. I finally got to my best friend Sarah's house at about 7:10.

Sarah, Michelle (Sarah's older sister), and I jumped in Michelle's car and headed straight up to Salt Lake--hitting some hard core traffic the entire way up. We got to Kingsbury Hall at about 8:20.

After the show (10:20ish) we wandered around a bit until we see Mike Birbiglia standing in the foyer. Rock on! He is awesome.

I played photographer for some people nearby, and then asked Mike if I could get a picture with him. Michelle took my camera to take the pictures. Mike put his arm around my shoulders, but I'm so freakishly tall that it was uncomfortable, I felt squished-HAHAHA-so I moved my arm to over his.

After Michelle took the picture I asked Mike if I could check the picture, haha. He said something like, "Yeah, of course. We are going do this until we get a good picture regardless of if it takes all night." We took a second picture, which toook a while because Michelle was laughing too hard at Mike's expression. I left his arm squishing my shoulders this time.

I asked him to sign my ticket, he obliged. I glanced down at my ticket confirmation, which had my address printed largely across it. I said, "Ha, they said I came the furthest to see you." Mike replied, "Oh really? Where did you come from." I told him Las Vegas. "Wow, how long of a drive is that?" he asked. I replied, "About seven hours. I left work at noon."
He asked if I got the Bob & Tom show in Vegas, and I told him I wasn't sure. He asked, "Oh, where do you know me from? Comedy Central?" I laughed and said, "I have your Comedy Central stuff, I know your other stuff, I know everything--but not in a stalkerish way." HAHAHA. He asked if I had his "Two Drink Mike" CD, and I told him that I don't have it and about how I wanted to do his CD Relocation, haha, where fans were placing his CD in random spots in stores (like the Best Sellers list) and taking pictures. He walked into the little shop and asked the person selling stuff to hand him a CD. He unwrapped it and signed it. (ROCK ON!) I said my friends would be jealous so he wrote on the CD "p.s. Friends...where were you?" Haha.

Love it, love it, love it!

Then we went to Chili's and laughed our heads off. Way fun.

This is me being freakishly tall. Ok, so I had heels on, but they weren't that high. I am about 6'1" in them.

My face looks really chunky in this picture, ick, and my hair is 7-hours-in-the-car stringy, double ick. Let's just focus on how cool Mike Birbiglia is and how thin my waistline is becoming. Ooooo.

:)

Me and my best friend Sarah. She is little, I am not. We look silly together.

And here is Michelle

And then I hung out by myself in my old bedroom, geeking out in my "VADAR WAS FRAMED" shirt and booty shorts. I have way too much fun. :)
Tonight I am hanging out with my mom and hopefully some sisters-in-law. Then later I'm gonna catch up with Annie, whom I haven't seen in FOR-EV-ER.

What a fun trip.
