I'm going to try to get there tomorrow morning. Really. But that means I have to wake up in ... uh ... five hours. I just don't know if I'm willing to do that. I fell asleep while sitting up in my bed this morning! Gosh, the weekend can't come fast enough.
I am doing a jumpstart of sorts with my dieting. I am shooting for 1,000 to 1,200 calories a day. It will be easier this week, as I have no money.
Ok, so why is it that I am so good at accidentally rejecting peope I don't want to reject and even better at accidentally agreeing to people I don't want to agree to?!
Terry came into my office today and said something about taking me to lunch, blah blah blah. I wasn't really listening because A) he is always talking B) I was in the middle of something and C) I didn't really realize he was talking to me. I said no thanks and I said something about it only being 11:30 and I still had a lot of projects I was working on. He asked what genre I wanted, Italian? Chinese? I told him, "Oh, I'm fine, but thanks." I wandered between the offices, trying to get some things done. He followed me. Shelly called my cell to give me a phone number I asked her for earlier in the day, and she asked me if I had a pen and was ready for the number. I was in the hall so I said, "Uh, hang on a few minutes" as I made my way back to my office. Terry said, "Ok." I am not talking to you, Sir! We've been through this; I don't want to go with you.
I had to run a file to an office in the the main office, and Frank was going to show me the way. I walked out into the hall so Terry grabbed his bag and followed me. I couldn't find Frank so I just headed off to the office to find it for myself. Terry was about fifteen feet behind me, but still following. While I wandered around the offices he stood in the reception area, waiting. Ugh. I didn't really have an actual reason for not going with him other than I just didn't want to. When I was done I walked out of the main office and he said, "So what are you in the mood for?" Ugh. Fine.
We went to some place that I don't remember the name of, but it is just like Cafe Rio or those other two places in Utah County just like Cafe Rio. It turned out that we were in line behind some guy he and his buddies were sitting by at a hockey? game last week. They all got so drunk that the security guards told the vendors to stop serving them. Nice.
I got a chicken taco salad; which, lemme tell ya, did not have the melted cheese covered tortilla like Cafe Rio, which is really the best part of the salad. Instead it was a pretty small salad in a taco shell.
I always feel weird when other people pay for me, especially when I have the means to pay for myself. (However, I love to be the one paying for both.) He asked what I wanted to drink and I said nothing. He ordered me a fountain drink anyway. That really shouldn't be annoying, but it is. I mean, I'm not going to turn down a free Diet Coke when its handed to me, but I don't necessarily ALWAYS have to order one.
About a half hour later Elizabeth called and asked where I was, I told her and said, "Come on over." Hahaha. So she, Emma Kate, and Luke sat with us for like ten minutes.
Now don't get me wrong, I did the appropriate smiles and thank yous. I didn't scream, "I dont want to be here!" though I may have been tempted a few times. I am nice and courteous; wanting to kick you is not always readable in my expressions.
Thank goodness he has a girlfriend because I don't want to be forced to do things with him outside of work.
My bet is still on that Meridith will be married before me, hahaha!
