"Well that's ONE way to get rid of the body." -Aaron Ray

I got an email from "Your Dream Date" today. Gee, I'm really glad he pursuing like this because I don't think I would have realized he was the one for me otherwise.

Today at work a litle girl (probably six or seven-years-old) knocked over a candle holder. Little votive candles and their glass containers went all over the floor. SO not a big deal; heavens, I knock that thing over at least once a day! I wasn't sure what to do...if I did nothing she would have to clean it all up herself, but if I rushed over she'd be even more embarassed than she already was. I decided to mosey over and tell her about how often I knock it over. Her mom came over and together we picked up the candles and their glass containers. I was laughing and telling the mom that it really really isn't a problem, I'd be surprised if you can walk past without it throwing itself to the ground--suicidal candles. The little girl slowly walked away from us, covering her face. I tried to call to her, trying to mend things. Her mom smiled at me and said, "thanks." Together they walked out of the store and I could see the little girls bright red face streak with tears; my heart broke. I now wonder if I handled things badly, if there was something I could have said or done differently.
