Is it just human nature to not find yourself attractive?

I often get comments (and by often I mean eight times in less than five months) from people about how I should go into modeling. Oh my! What in the world? I mean, I know I'm 5'10", but that's not the only prerequisite, people.

Tonight Jamie's Director Friend (whose name I totally just forgot) and she were talking next to me when suddenly Director Friend tapped me on the shoulder and said, "You are really pretty." Whoa, what the? I laughed and said thanks. He said "Sorry. You don't even know me. You just have a really pretty profile." I again thanked him, and laughed to myself because I was just having a conversation about my profile with myself while staring in the mirror at work earlier in the day (thats what I get for working in a store that sells a ton of mirrors):

Me: "Self, we have an ugly profile. Why did we get an ugly profile? Wasn't being tall and chunky enough?"
Self: "Hey; speak for yourself!"
