"How was HuckleBerry Farm?" -Deborah

The Knott's Berry Farm trip was a blast.

Does it mean my social life has taken a turn for the worst when I mentally blog events as they happen? Or even more so when I jot down notes? Oh heavens.

I think I've found someone who giggles as much as me!

On Monday I woke up at 5 a.m., stuffed my belongings into my pillowcase, and hopped in the car. After meeting up with Liz & Jayar's friends we headed off in our little minivan caravan to Anaheim. The drive was uneventful in a good way. I sat next to Little Mr. Luke the majority of the way there; he is sooo darling. He giggles all day long. (Hmmm, that reminds me of someone.) He also now believes in the soothing powers in Twizzlers--something I have known for many years.

Besides the little trip to San Francisco last October, I haven't been to California since September 2001. That is when Mom, Dad, Clarke, Deborah, Meridith, and I all went to Disneyland and California Adventure--we flew in. That April I went to Disneyland and Universal Studios with my high school Orchestra--we drove in that time, but I was asleep...I think. Or I was playing UNO with the violinists, or something random.
Whatever. My point is that I don't ever actually remember the drive into Southern California. Wow, it's really pretty. Coming into Orange County reminds me a lot of driving around Germany. The lush green hills, the random little forests, dad yelling at us to stop being "Loud Americans"...no wait, that was Germany.

Does it have an R like the Radish-on?
Back to my point- We stayed at the Radisson, which is practically in the parking lot. We could easily walk to and from the park. Once inside Knott's Berry Farm I first jumped on the little river ride (like Rattlesake Rapids at Lagoon) with Caroline and Jayar. (Line LOVED it. She devoted the entire rest of the trip to begging to ride it again.)

So it begins
The river ride had two weird thick velcro straps as a seat belt. My two ends of velcro barely touched eachother much like seventh graders slowdancing. I decided that if my life were supposed to end with me falling into a 4 foot deep man-made river then so be it, because those things were not going to secure me down in any way.

I rode the Scrambler with Line, Emma Kate having decided to go on with her friend. It was fun because Line had a lot of fun. After lunch we headed over to "Camp Snoopy", Knott's kid-friendly area. The girls rode a bunch of rides including a school bus that rose in the air, Snoopy's Red Baron planes, Lucy's Tugboat, among others. We also went on the Ferris Wheel, which turned out to not be such a great idea. I plumb forgot about my fear of heights until after Line and I were loaded on our little bench. Caroline shouted to Jayar and Emma (who were behind us on the ride) the little tidbit of my extreme fear of this kiddie ride. After a few encouraging words from Jayar such as, "Is that bolt supposed to be loose?", "Whoa, it feels a little shaky.", and "It helps if you rock." I safely made it off the ride.
I convinced the girls to go with me on the Dragon Swing (much like the big boat at Lagoon). Emma Kate loved it. Caroline? ...ehh, not so much.

After all that fun we headed over to Claim Jumper for dinner. Let's just say that I don't believe diets can exist outside the home, hahaha. I was full half-way through my bowl of soup, but I fought my way through the majority of my lettuce wraps. (Don't let the name fool ya, those things are HUGE.)

After dinner Liz & Jayar went to the grocery store for next-day goodies while I tended to the littleuns. Miss Emma Katie became very angry at my suggestion of sleeping on the bed, letalone inside the covers, and decided to defiantly fall asleep on the floor. Hahaha! Little Luke fell asleep in my arms after we both watched a rather boring episode of Becker. I crawled in bed next to Caroline, but awoke with Emma next to me and Line at my feet.

On comes another day of thrills and rejection.
