Another journal bit; this is a tad nicer:
March 1999- "Susannah’s hand writing is quite beautiful. She is an interesting young woman; lots of depth there. She tries to disguise it, but it’s there."
----------------------------------
I cried while reading a part of my dads journal to my mom. It was stupid for me to cry, and I was well aware of it. But I couldn't read the screen without choking up. My parents told me not to take it too personally, which I was already telling myself, but to no avail- the tears kept coming.
This is the entry:
March 1999- "[Mom] was up at 3:00 a.m. stewing about how to help Susannah get some order into her life. As soon as I showed any signs of waking (5:00), she gave me an earful about it: Susannah’s tithing, endless woes about her undone homework, tardiness in the morning, practicing the cello, overeating, no exercise, etc.
We finally decided that Susannah’s problem is that she is totally right-brained...just like I am. Her walls are cluttered with pictures (our family room downstairs is full of my pictures), her room is messy (my office is messy), she is a slob about what she wears (need I mention my attire?), etc."
---------------------------------
I thought this was funny, it is about my well-known obsession with Lance Bass:
April 28th 1999- "Wow! What a spectacle! 17,500 screaming fourteen-year-olds with bright lasers and very loud music.
'Nsync is a wholesome group of five boys. Susannah is completely in love with the one named “Lance”. She calls him “Lancey” and wears a necklace around her neck with his name emblazoned on it for everybody to see.
Every one of 'Nsync’s members has loyal following of obsessed hormone-crazed teens. Above the audience the video monitor observed the goings-on below. With the appearance of any single young man on the screen, the crowd would erupt with screaming."
