"Who smells like...is that grape?"

Thursday-
I have never been very skilled at packing. it is a simple process, or so I hear, but I always end up with a lot of unnecessary things and am always missing important items like, oh, pants.

So I spent all Thursday morning packing everything I own into my suitcase. I am absolutely sure I ended up with two pairs of jeans, three skirts, two track pants, one pair of shorts, thirteen shirts, pajama shirt & pants, and a nightgown. For a THREE DAY trip! I am not exaggerating, unfortunately. I know I packed excessively because I couldn't choose between my USB-Fun For You And Me shirt, my Power Up! Super Mario shirt, my It's A Flesh Would Monty Python shirt, my Nintendo Cartidge shirt, and my Vader Was Framed shirt for the Weird Al concert. I ended up with a blue & white striped halter/hoodie combo.

After finally loading my (incredibly heavy) suitcase into George I set off. I met my bro-in-law, Aaron, at an exit on my way out of town so he could check out George's fluid levels. George's overheating light had been coming on when I first turned on the car, but would soon turn off. Aaron said I should be fine on the way up, but to get all the fluids topped off when I got to Orem.

I got to Deborah's house around 11, to spend some time with her and her two DARLING sons. It was supposed to be an hour or two, but I finally set off over four hours later, haha. I started my CarTrip iPod mix as I got to my favorite part of the drive: the gorge in Arizona.

After I left Cedar City I noticed George's overheating light come on and then turn off after a bit. Uhhhhhh.... I called Deborah and asked her to ask Aaron what i should do. Aaron told me to slow it down under 60 and pull into the next gas station, and ask the people there to help me. Easy, right? Ok, so I slow it (way) down and pull into the Chevron. "Do you have the orange coolant?" Much to my freaking luck, Apu was behind the counter and he had no idea what I was asking!
Me: "Ok...do you happen to know what color the liquid is inside this bottle?"
Apu: "That bottle?"
Me: "Yeah, do you know what color it is?"
Apu: "Uhh...."
Me: "...is it blue?"
Apu: "It is blue."
Me: "Are you sure it's blue?"
Apu: "It is blue."
...
Me: *wanders back to the aisle, puts back the bottle and looks at the other bottles for a moment.*
Apu: *comes around the counter, stands behind me* "It is blue."
Me: "Ok, thanks."
Apu: "I only have blue."
Me: "K...thanks."
...
Me: "Do you know how far the next gas station is?" *points North*
Apu: *looks at me like I'm an idiot* "Well that depends on which way you are going."
Me: *wonders when I became the idiot in the conversation*

After a few phone calls and making my sister, Deborah, promise to buy me a new engine if mine got ruined after following her advice, I headed on my way to the next station.
I hit just about every gas station, while keeping George at about 55 miles an hour (if I went any faster the light came back on.) I got to Scipio, Utah (tiny town at the beginning of the construction zone heading into Nephi) and found what I was looking for. :)
Then I stayed up waaaaay too late, video chatting with Tashina.

Friday:
I slept in until noon (lovely!) and then went out with my Daddy to see Live Free or Die Hard. Rock the freak on! I loved that movie, and I definitely enjoy Justin Long.
When I got home I soon had to get ready to leave again. My brother, Richard, picked me up around 5:45 and we headed up to Salt Lake. The concert was awesome, and I'm a total fangirl, but thats already been covered. Afterward we hit Beto's for some breakfast burritos and then watched YouTube videos for a while. ("hot pocket hot pockets")
Then I stayed up waaaaaaay too late.
