one question haunts and hurts/too much, too much to mention/was I really seeking good/or just seeking attention?

Dang. For some reason it didn't publish my audio post.

I got paid yesterday so I went straight to the mall from the office, haha. I met Elizabeth, Caroline, Emma Kate, and Luke there. Lukie helped me pick out some darling new bras ("Dis cute, Auntie!") and I got a great deal on all my stuff at the Chunky Store. I went over to Torrid with the girls and we picked out about fifteen shirts, haha. I only bought one, the first one I tried on, it is bright blue & white striped deep plunge V-neck with empire waist. It was originally $30 but it was on sale for $21, and then all the clearance items were 50% off. Rock on!

So I'm wearing my cute new shirt today. Yay! And I found a purse I lost, and when I looked inside I found a bunch of cute makeup I thought I had lost forever! And my eyelash curler! (not that I really need it. Yes, I said it! I have great eyes, and I'm not in denial)...so I was really excited.

This morning I was working at my desk when I noticed my phone was ringing (my volume is down, but I saw the light flashing.) The ID said Julie so I picked it up and answered, "Hey, it's Susannah." In a hushed tone she said, "Hey, come here right now." Yeah, she doesn't have to tell me twice--it's always good news with Julie. So I hung up the phone and jumped out of my chair. I walked into her office and she smiled and said, "You're welcome." I was thinking, "Huh??" But then I turned around and saw MyBoyfriendMike standing in Leslie's office across the hall. I told Julie, "You are too good to me."

The quest continued to find out this man's marital status. So far all we knew is that his sister said she "got a hold of his wife" in June, and some skinny brunette introduced herself as "Mike's wife" to Jayar back in around February or March. But Julie thinks he is single and the assistant to the president of my company says that he is definitely not married. Huh?

I went into the main office lobby to talk to the receptionist and we got to talking about Mike (because he had come in and gone out a few minutes before me.) I told her what we knew so far about the marital status and I said, "Come on, chica, he's got an L/O license with the company [something I found out last week; dang I'm good] so we've got to have his personnel file somewhere!" We laughed and she got on her phone. I said, "Uhhh...what are you doing?!" She smiled and said, "Just making a call, hang on." She was calling the head of the personnel department, oh my heavens. Now I've gotten like seven people involved!! She pulled his file and said that because it was a transfer and not an application it doesn't have the personal information. Dang.

I went into Julie's office to tell her how freakin funny our receptionist is. While I was talking to her Leslie called me into her office, haha. I walked in and she just said, "Hon, he is single." I said, "Are you sure? Because--" she cut me off and said, "Girl, we are friends, we've gone to lunch. He is single." woot! So Leslie told me about how his wife, who had been married multiple times before him, left him in December 2005. Julie continued the story and said he was completely crushed and she is sure that he has not remarried since then.
So I guess that is a final decision, eh? MyBoyfriendMike (who looks like a younger, thinner William Petersen [Gil Grissom on CSI]) is single.

A guy on Julie's team is interested in Irma and was asking Julie if Irma is married. Julie said that no, she isn't. The guy pointed out that he parked near her and noticed a babyseat so Julie explained that she does have a 2-year-old son. I told Irma and we both had a jolly good time chuckling about it. I pointed out which guy it was and she practically yelled, "Ewww, he's OLD!" Jayar laughed and said, "You're not a teenager anymore, Chica." Irma said, "I am 29! I'm still in my twenties!" Jayar said, "He is only in his early 30s!" Irma proclaimed "Ewww" again, hahaha. She said, "I'd go for 30 maybe, but not older than 32! That's too old!" So I added, "MyBoyfriendMike turns 39 this month." Which made everyone laugh, because how in the world do I know this stuff?!
