Why does this woman throw my things away?!?
I HATE THAT.
I had a signed picture of Mandy Moore. My mother threw it away. I had an inflatable chair, which was AWESOME. My mother threw it away. She threw away a purse, a picture frame, and the entire contents of a drawer.
She threw away the collection of magazines I had been collecting for OVER A YEAR from SEVEN different subscriptions, which were organized by magazine and month. THREW THEM AWAY.
She threw away my cordless phone.
Now I find out that this week she threw away ALL OF THE VIDEOS on which I had things recorded off TV. THREW THEM AWAY.
I am between screaming and crying. I HATE when she does this. I do not go through her things and throw away things I feel are of no importance, regardless of the importance to her.
Why?! Why?! Why?!
I can not go back and rerecord everything I had. Those tapes are FREAKING IRREPLACEABLE! And they were out of the way, on a shelf in the storage room!!!
MAN! Ugh!

Hi Susannah,
Mom's insensitive huh? That is a drag, but instead of letting it burn you up, maybe you should just look at your options for adjusting and compensating for this known factor in your life (mom IS trespassing and insensitive, your things and your peace are not secure in mom's space) I see that your age is 21, are you still living at home because you're going to school and trying to live on a budget, or is there some other reason? I ask that, because I know Mormon's can be strict when it comes to 'worldly' things. I would not expect your mom to change, so you should consider what you can do to move on. I do not suggest you put yourself in harms way to get out of mom's space, but just food for thought.
Maybe, because your info says you live in Las Vegas, you are away at school, you should consider getting all of your things out of your mom's reach.
Luck.
James
I'm sorry Susannah. I threw a tantrum when I realized that my auntie had gone through my room and reorganized everything that week I came to visit you. Seriously, a tantrum. With the screaming and the throwing of the things and the dramatic falling on my bed parts. Yeah. It felt good though. And my aunt has since not ever touched my stuff. I hate it when people touch my stuff and reorganize things, or when they do my laundry. It's like "Even though I told you to clean your room and do your laundry, it's obvious to me that you're incapable of such things." I've been cleaning my room and doing my own damn laundry since I was ten years old thank you very much!
NO TOUCHIE!!!
I found this pin. It makes me laugh. I hope it makes you laugh too: http://www.torrid.com/store/product.asp?LS=0&M=482284293&ITEM=575901
Sue,
I know your upset. I TOTALLY would be too...but what kind of title is that? Don't you know that mom checks your blog every day--cares about you so much and what you're doing?! I understand why you're venting and I'm totally fine with it. Just...remember who loves you...no matter what.
