I don't care and I can't seem to find my way around that

Yesterday for the first time in a long time I came home to an empty house, which remained empty up until the moment I got in bed. It was lovely.

Elizabeth says I'm not good at "sharing in the sandbox" but it really comes down to common decency. Why are you touching my stuff? My mother has said all my life "if it's not yours don't touch it." Sure, that never stopped me from using Deborahs makeup, taking stray dollar bills from Meridith, or 'borrowing' my dads DVDs, but it should definitely come into play when living with strangers.

I understand, even if I don't like it, the point that I should let my small kitchen appliances be the community appliances even when that means they don't have the emotional attachment I do and will therefore not be careful with a dang thing(!)
They don't care that I got my first set of dishes when I was 17 as a birthday present and that I've been storing them in my closet, only taking them out long enough to show people. They don't care that my awesome black pitcher was a gift from Suzanne and it matches my dish set perfectly. They don't care that I scrimped a little one month to buy myself a toaster; it's a toaster. They don't care that the red blender was a wedding present of Deborah's that she gave to me the week I moved; it's a blender. They don't care that I planned out all of my patterns so my plates, bowls, glasses, and utensils all have the same pattern of squares. Or that the entire kitchen has a theme of red and black. I wish I could just sit them down and explain what an emotional attachment I have for my things and that I really really really don't want them to use my things when they don't treasure them like I do; which is really lame sounding, I realize.

There are a few random things I love to pick out and buy; one being office supplies, the other kitchen accessories. Last week I bought two new glasses, big tumblers. I put them on the top shelf of the cabinet (both roomies are short...er than me, which equals short in my book) and the NEXT FREAKING DAY they were in the dishwasher. I didn't even get to use them first, letalone use my own things at all.

I hate that.

I tend to be possessive of my things too. I try not to be, but I am. Well, at least with some things. There are some things that frankly, I don't care about, lol.

But when I use someone else's things, I'm super careful - paranoid I'll damage it or something. Which sucks too. I wish I wasn't always nervous when using other people's stuff.

Excuse me?! Uh..."stray dollar bills"? Is there something you need to tell me, Susannah?

Hahahaha, I was wondering if you'd catch that.

Uhhh...you knew about that, right? Sometimes if you had one dollar just chillin' he'd sometimes find his way home to my purse? Its only fair, as you are behind on your Sister Dues.

Uhhh...it wasn't very many times. And I could swear you knew that....

Yeah, I actually never knew you had done that before....you klepto. And then you would go ahead and ask for money anyway...I'm disgusted--gosh.

I AM THE SAME WAY with:
Kitchen things (the dish dishes and mixing bowls, especailly the ones I make at color me mine, you don't understand the thought and time put into coming up with the design, colors and the painting!) And my sandwich maker. I love it. and you broke the last one, so if you touch it ONE MORE TIME, I will have to chop off your fingers
Bathroom things (I like the blow dryer on HIGH, thank you very much, and turn the straightener OFF when you are done!)
and Bedding because you know, I really don't mind if you use my sheets as long as they really do match your blanket, because I am obsessive. My polkadot sheets do NOT go with your patchwork quilt, it really makes them look bad, but they go VERY nicely with my plain blue one, it compliments them, and gives them a chance to shine.
