Today Jayar let me leave the office at 3:30 because I was there til 8:00 last night (oh my!) I'm not used to being out and about when the sun is up, haha, so I wasn't quite sure what to do with my extra hour. So I went shopping.
I was perusing the clearance racks at Lane Bryant (aka The Chunky Store) when I noticed ONE pair of The Unflattering Slacks in dark purple. Awesome! I have definitely been needing a new pair of The Unflattering Slacks, or something like unto it.
As I was walking toward them I thought about the probability that they were near my size. Yeah, not likely. Probably a "petite" just to rub it in. When I reached the purple pair of The Unflattering Slacks I grabbed for the tag. My exact size--including "tall." Rock on. They were normally $49.50, I got them for $6.99. :D
How cool is that?
Near those was a random, sequined purple halter top. Hmmm, no thanks. But then I realized that it, too, was my exact size. Might as well try it on, right? Normally near $30, I got it for $6.99. :D
I wasn't sure if I wanted to buy it because, I mean come on...what in the world am I going to do with it? I don't have anything to go with a halter! Except for my linebacker shoulders. So I guess now I need a cute denim jacket or something. Man, its a vicious cycle, haha.
It is a cool shirt, though. Its mostly sheer unhemmed material over a tank top. I have absolutely nothing to do with it...but at $7 I couldn't not get it, right?
I also got a brown V-neck 3/4 length sleeve Tshirt-ish shirt. Only $12 rather than $20. All in all an excellent shopping trip. :)
Then I went over to Wal-Mart and bought hair dye (Clairol Hydrience #46Driftwood--Medium Ash Brown) and a bunch of other crap. The cashier was an idiot, but thats a story for another time. I also bought some dye for highlights...hmmm.
After watching American Idol Elizabeth dyed my hair. It looks fine. I was hoping for less red, but I have so much natural red in my hair that I doubt I could avoid it with any at-home treatment. I was really just trying to get it all the same color, rather than the natural medium brown til my ears then a reddish brown after that. Hahaha.
We are going to put the highlights in this weekend, our first attempt doing anything like that; wish us luck!
I have got to stop spending money.

A) Because its what I do best
B) Because, having seen the entire picture, it is in fact not a bad thing that I cut my head out.
C) and the fact that I actually posted a picture of my torso on the internet cracks. me. up.

although, I guess I HAVE been laying it on a bit thick lately . . . . Oh well. I hope you realize that I've mostly just been messing around. I hope I haven't made you uncomfortable with any of my comments. Sorry if that's the case. In my weird way, I was just trying to make friends. No offense intended.
