I try not to be a jerk most of the time, and yet what I say gets misconstrued so often!
If I say something mean I was probably attempting to be funny. I don't always choose the best words. Like when I told Meridith's roommate to tell her what an idiot I thought she was--it was meant to be FUNNY. She was on a date doing something outdoorsy! Idiot isn't what I should have said--Weirdo, perhaps.
Or when I start a sentence with "ever since I had a baby I can't..." I'm not trying to be mean and make fun of Deborah! I just think it is hilarious that this sentence is how she says things. (ex- "Ever since I had a baby I can't sing high notes.")
I don't think I am a mean person. Ok, sometimes I am. Sometimes I can be downright vicious, but it's pretty rare.
I just know with the coming holidays and the family get-togethers that I am going to say some idiotic things. That's just how I am. I'm a total dork. My hope is everyone will realize there is no malicious intent and I am probably attempting to be funny.
Though Meridith getting 3rd and 4th helpings at Thanksgiving dinner is fair game. She and her size 2 pants bring anything I say (or Aaron Ray says, haha) upon themselves.
