"What do heights do?"

My oldest sister, Elizabeth, has been in town from Las Vegas this week with her little family, which is always fun. It's been a crazy week full of strange get-togethers.

On Thursday we had a surprise Send Off party for Meridith, as she is moving to Idaho tomorrow (I'm in denial. I asked her to go to a movie with me on Tuesday, she said, "I can't, I'll be living in Idaho." Oh yeah...there goes my live-in buddy.) Deborah, Clarke, and I made a video collage of pictures of her and included sound clips of our siblings and parents talking about her. (It took me forever, but mostly because of sheer procrastination. I haven't played around with iMovie a lot since I made Deborah's wedding video a few years ago.)

On Friday we went to Lagoon. It was supposed to be a family reunion of sorts, but everyone ditched out. So it was my parents, my siblings, their kids, and one of my cousins with her hubby. It was packed! Turns out it was 1/2 price day because it was the last Friday before school started. Nice planning there.
I fell asleep in the car on the way up. Oops! I didn't think I had actually fallen asleep until I realized the last thing I remembered before that moment was the Point of the Mountain (about 40-ish minutes earlier.)

I went on the Scrambler with Emma Kate, then watched as she, Caroline, Parker, and Abigail went on the Tilt a Whirl with Suzanne and Jayar. Then I stood with Liz & Luke as the kids and Suzanne went on the uh...umbrella ride and Richard & Jayar went on the Samurai. We then went to the pavilion where my parents had unloaded a few coolers of food.
After hanging out there for a little while I took Emma Kate and Brooklyn to the kids rides area. Brook and I watched as Emmie went on a airplane ride (Brook said she didn't want to go on "that boy ride", haha). We all went together on the little boat (basically a mini version of Tidal Wave). We then went over to the little go cart ride. Brook sat on my lap while we watched Emma wait in line. Aliesha and Alexa came over, so Lex joined Emmie in line. After that we went back to the pavilion.
I went with Camden on the...uh...sky tram thingy. "The Sky Ride", all the kids called it. He kept trying to touch the trees with his toes, and I kept putting my arm tighter around him saying, "Cammo-The-Ammo, you're gonna faaaaaaaallll!" Which he replied to with, "No I am not, Aunt Susannah, let. me. go!" We stood in line FOREVER to get on the Screamer. Camden said he didn't want to go with me (He's almost 8! When did he get so big?), that he'd be fine by himself. So I went in the little car/pod in front of him. That is my favorite ride there.
All the lines were really long around there so Cammo and I wandered over to the Tidal Wave. Big line, but it moved fast. That was really fun as well. After that we headed back over to the pavilion.
I stayed there and played with Luke and Hyrum, who were wrestling in the little wagon. Hil-ar-i-ous. Luke took Hyrum's toy and Little H just sat there whining, occasionally reaching out for it. Luke would swing it by Hy-Guys face, but he just sat there. They're so cute, I can't believe they are almost a year old already!
After that I went with Emma Katie and Caroline on The Sky Ride over to the Screamer. After standing in line forever we were finally allowed on the ride. The little attendant chick came over and told us we couldn't have 3 in a car/pod thingy. Caroline said she'd go by herself. I was hesitant, but she really wanted to go on it and I wasn't about to leave Emmie standing by the attendant as I took Line by herself. So Emmie and I went together and Line had a little car/pod to herself. They both loved the ride.
We went over to the Pioneer Village, where we were to meet up with Liz, Jayar, and Luke. We got ice cream with Meridith, Deborah, Aaron, Hyrum, and my mom while Emmie and Jayar went on the Log Ride.
Then we headed home...and I fell asleep on the way.

Tonight we went to my Grandma's house for her 77th birthday party. I have such a low tolerance for my relatives. My aunt asked what I'm doing with my life. I said, "Absolutely nothing." She laughed and said, "Now I don't believe that!" I said, "Well believe it." But I don't think she heard, which is a good thing. My sister, Deborah, keeps comparing Napoleon Dynamite to my cousin but it's not true. He makes Napoleon look like George Clooney. My cousin is about 26, I believe, and is heavily into anime and Dance Dance Revolution. As soon as he started singing to my father in Japanese I had to go inside the house. My uncle told me to sit by him, instead I sat at the tiny table by Emma and Brooklyn. He said, "Come sit up here, Susannah." I told him, "I'd like to sit by my nieces, thanks." He continued talking but I stopped listening.

At the moment two of my darling nieces, Caroline and Emma Kate, are asleep in my bed. They are both wearing a shirt of mine for a nightgown, haha. They have been alternating all week, one in my bed, the other in Meridith's. Last night was Emma, so tonight was rightfully Caroline's turn. Em decided she wanted to be in here with us (take that Mer ;) ) So I've got both girls in my bed...I'm not exactly sure how I'm supposed to fit in there, as Emma Kate has turned and is now laying across all of my pillows. Hmmmm.
Last night she was laying sideways across the middle of the bed. I rolled her over to her spot and she grumbled at me, "stop, caroLINE! stop it."
They're so fun, and I don't want them to go back home tomorrow. :(

Caroline: What do heights do?
Elizabeth: What?
Caroline: What do heights do?
Elizabeth: I don't understand what you're talking about.
Caroline: Like, Auntie Heidi is afraid of heights. What do heights do?
