Susannah and hot things do not mix well.
I have now burned myself 3 times in just over 24 hours. OUCH!
Tuesday I was attempting to cook some chicken. I had it cut into little pieces which I was laying at the bottom of a skillet pan thingy. There was a TINY bit of oil at the bottom. Barely there.
At one point I reached over and gently plopped some chicken in the pan. The hot oil sprayed up my right arm.
I immediately grabbed a hand towel, illogically thinking I'd just wipe the oil off. A blister formed and broke in those first few seconds. I rushed my arm to the faucet and held it under cold running water. (It now has six blisters running along it.)

LESS THAN FIVE MINUTES LATER!!! I had gotten the bottom of the pan wet so I ran a towel under it to wipe the water off. As I did this my left arm brushed the underside of the pan; burning me. I was back to my position under the faucet.

Tonight I was reaching into the oven to get out dinner. I had the hot-pad like glove thingys on. As I picked up the stuff from the oven my arm hit the roof of the oven. Which would've been fine because of the gloves EXCEPT that they only went up half my arm. I got a nasty burn across my arm.

OH MY HECK, KEEP ME AWAY FROM HEAT!!!
