------------------
I have been writing songs since 6th grade. The first was entitled "Boom boom boom", a love song, hahaha. There was also "The Letter", "You've Become Cliché", and "The GAP shirt" (about a guy who thought he was cool, but wasn't.) In 11th grade I wrote "Just Forget" with my friend, Amanda. We were skipping a class, sitting in her silver Dodge Avenger (whom I named Revlon) with a Jamba Juice in one hand and a pen in the other.
Seems you finally 'found' my number, but didn't have much to say... Just
forget about it.
You winked at the girl as she walked by... Just forget about it
(CHORUS) You can just forget my name. Forget my kiss. Forget my
face. Forget I exist. And I'll try to 'just forget' you
The secrets we shared. As well as the moment we were first paired... Just forget
about them.
The time under the stars when you said we'd never be apart... Just forget
about it.
Forget about me.
Forget about me.
(CHORUS, YET AGAIN)
Seems the tables have turned, you want it all back. I've forgotten
about you.
(CHORUS)
Pretty lame, I know. It was supposed to be set to No Doubt-esque music. Give me a break, I was 16.
My writing hasn't gotten any better, actually. This one was from last week, it's...not so good.
Lost in thought of what we’ve become
there’s something other than what’s shown
Nowhere to go; if misery loves company
why am I here alone
CHORUS
If we were so wrong to begin with
how did it endure
did you know you’d leave me here
with nothing left to do but remember
Isolated in my dream of the perfect life
away from the heartache, the headache, the pain
Could it be because of me, what’s left now
so I’ve no room to complain
So much withheld, not worth the grief
questions, can the past be repeat
Confined to the here, stuck with the now
alone with the plead
CHORUS
If we were so wrong to begin with
how did it endure
did you know you’d leave me here
with nothing left to do but remember
I find it quite funny that the majority of my lyrics are about relationships when I, myself, have never been in one; letalone a bad one that would end in such lyrics.
I have a black accoustic guitar, Bubba (formerly Kyan), but I only know three chords. I want to learn to play guitar well; accoustic as well as electric. I would like to put my lyrics to music, if at all possible.
I have a band. (Hahaha) It is named Thoroughly Soaked. It is me. It is pretty nonexistent at the moment. It pretty much died when Nikki wanted to be leadsinger although her voice is TOTALLY country. It would be nice to get Thoroughly Soaked off the ground.
