I'm dreaming of a white Christmas

Every single day this week I've surprised myself by realizing Christmas is less than two weeks away. Because, you see, this is my first Pre-Christmas outside of Northern Utah. I am used to the 20 degrees weather. I'm used to the grey skies, the frost on the windshield, the snow on the ground. And suddenly I find myself on December 15th feeling like it should be May.

As you may not have noticed, I am in Las Vegas at my sister's house with her, her hubby, and their 3 kids. Yesterday (technically day before, since it is nearly 2 a.m.) it was a gorgeous 63 degree day. Blue skies and a slight breeze. Picnic weather. THIS IS NOT CHRISTMAS WEATHER!

The only reminder I have of the holiday season is the nicely decorated tree in the corner and the party plans we are arranging. I am forcing myself to get in a holiday mood. I do not have my Andy Williams or Bing Crosby songs blasting, as I would at home. I just simply do not have the mind set yet. My body is confused.
