"We got more bounce in California"

Beverly Hills 90210? Nope. Melroe's Place? Nope. Dawson's Creek? Nope. I have not been stuck on any teen drama show. Until now... I love The O.C., is that horrible? The writing is quick and funny. Adam Brody is down right hilarious as Seth Cohen; and who doesn't love Ben McKenzie?

For those who aren't up on the happenings:
Ryan and Marissa broke up. Theresa, Ryan's ex-girlfriend from Chino, came to get away from Eddie, her fiance. Ryan and Theresa hooked up for a few days until she suddenly went back to Chino. Luke, Marissa's ex-boyfriend was sleeping with her mom, Julie, but Ryan and Seth found out and made him break it off. Marissa found out when Luke came by to talk to Ryan and consequently stopped speaking to her mom; she left to Chino where Theresa let her stay with her. Ryan went to find Marissa and bring her back but got in a fight with Eddie who thought Ryan was there to steal Theresa back. Sandy's mom came to visit for Seth's birthday and told them she has advanced lung cancer. Meanwhile, Sandy Cohen and Jimmy Cooper were starting a restaurant but couldn't get a liquor license because a member of the board was a client of Jimmy's and he lost all the guy's money. They asked Kristen's dad, Caleb, for help because he is friends with the board members. Caleb proposed to Julie Cooper. Luke got drunk, crashed his car and ended up in the hospital. A few days later he moved Back East with his father, who happens to be gay (just so we can fit as many twists in this show, apparently). Caleb offered to buy the restaurant property from Jimmy and Sandy for 2 million (i think). Marissa went to talk to Caleb, who told her that she will have to live with him and her mom or he will blackmail her dad (Jimmy). Seth met Summer's dad and didn't make a good impression so Summer wanted to break up because of her dad's feelings against Seth. Hailey, Kristen Cohen's little sister, is back living with them after working as a stripper in L.A., which Kristen doesn't know about because Jimmy told her he picked Hailey up from the airport rather than getting her from L.A. On that thought, Hailey and Jimmy are together. Kristen tried to warn Jimmy about Hailey, she said Hailey was using him to get back at her (because Jimmy was Kristen's boyfriend before she married Sandy). Jimmy said that it wasn't about Kristen. It turns out Caleb blocked the liquor license for the restaurant and is now turning around and selling the property for ten times what he paid Jimmy and Sandy. Sandy threatened to sue him and Jimmy punched him in the face. Theresa came back to the Cohen's because Eddie is beating her again. Ryan and Sandy convince her to stay for a while in the pool house. She decides she wants to move in with her cousin in Atlanta, but doesn't have the money to get there. Then we found out that Theresa is pregnant and it "might not be Eddie's" (aka Ryan's) and that she wants an abortion, but can't afford that either. Summer and Seth got back together even after she caught him kissing what turned out to be a prostitute while they were in "The Vegas".

Man, that's a twisted show.
